Between 2016 – 2021 I lived and traveled in the Middle East, doing different projects in refugee camps, schools, resturants, etc..
Here’s an example from a restaurant in Ramallah, where the owner, who was a great admirer of the Lebanese singer Fairuz, insisted that I should paint her. Homeland as written in Arabic at the top right is the title of one of her songs. Around her one find things and situations from the Palestinian culture, history and everyday life.
